Filipino identity in architecture hopes to make global mark

People go to Japan and appreciate Japanese architecture. They go to China and become inspired by Chinese architecture. Tourists go to France and marvel at French architecture. If people would come to the Philippines, would they be able to find touches of Filipino architecture? The answer is, hardly. One of the few architectural firms that consistently designs Filipino in everything it does is Manosa and Partners. For years, the "Manosa signature" has become so popular that people would readily identify native-inspired structures—contemporary or otherwise—to the architecture firm.
