The Philippine Textile Research Institute (PTRI) has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) for the testing of geotextiles for national road construction.rnThe MoA was signed by PTRI director Dr. Carlos Tomboc and DPWH Bureau of Research and Standards (BRS) director Antonio Molano during PTRI's 42nd anniversary.rnGeotextiles are permeable fabrics which, when used in association with the soil, have the ability to separate, filter, reinforce, protect or drain.
