A first for MSE in Malaysia

The first drill tender barge built by Malaysia Shipyard and Engineering Sdn Bhd (MSE) is ready for delivery to repeat client Smedvig Asia Limited. This newbuild also signifies a first Made-in-Malaysia drill tender barge for international operations. The drill tender barge named Tioman T-9 will be the most modern and latest drilling tender rig in the world. The design of the barge was jointly developed by Smedvig and MSE based on an enhanced version of an existing tender barge. The improved drilling capabilities allowing for parallel activities will significantly increase drilling efficiency.
