Interview: R. S. Sharma, Chairman and Managing Director, ONGC

R. S. Sharma, Chairman and Managing Director, ONGC is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India (ICWAI) and an Associate Member of the Indian Institute of Bankers. He joined ONGC in July 1988 as Joint Director (Finance) and worked at different capacities in ONGC at project level and in corporate office. Before taking charge of the post of Director (Finance), ONGC on 1st March 2002, he also functioned, for a short duration, as Director (Finance) of ONGC Videsh Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of ONGC. He took over as the CMD of ONGC on 25th May 2006 on ad hoc basis with regular appointment on 4th July 2007.
