Two factors have greatly encouraged the growth and progress of offshore E&P - the move to deepwater and the adoption of EOR. Deepwater E&P has led to the growth of the mobile rig (such as semisubs and drillships) sector whilst brownfield development has caused the rise of of jackup usage. This report will give an overview of the current offshore rigs market and trends.
