Securing the PWI for future generations of railway apprentices and engineers

Back in the Autumn of last year I received a phone call from David Packer asking if I'd assist in co-ordinating a Ginger Group of young PWI members and non-members, the aim to invigorate the institute. Although current membership is highly valued we are not attracting as many new members as we should and to do that we need to provide resources that people want and need to assist them through their careers. In my second year as Vice President for Wales I was eager to assist with something that would validate my time in office. I eagerly accepted before signing off and quickly searching the internet for a definition of a 'Ginger Group'!
