U.S. says Alsol and SB Building Associates fail to set forth a prima facie meritorious defense against default action

The United States asked the federal court for the District of New Jersey on July 18 to deny a motion to set aside a default order against debtor defendants Alsol Corp. and SB Buiding Associates GP in the government's CERCLA action with respect to property on Ford Avenue in Milltown, New Jersey, formerly part of a Michelin Tire facility. (See issue of July 15, 2013 Pages 6 and 24.) "Defendants have not offered a reasonable excuse for failing to appear in a timely manner and have failed to set forth the requisite prima facie meritorious defense to the United States' claims," the government states.
