Judge says expert cannot rely on another expert who cannot be questioned on devaluation of homes near site

U.S. Judge Jerome B. Simandle of the District of New Jersey held on March 18 that an expert may not reasonably rely on another expert who cannot be questioned about the devaluation of two homes across from the contamnated Lockheed Martin Corp. site in Moorestown, New Jersey. (See issue of Jan. 15, 2014 P. 7.) The judge granted Lockheed's motion to preclude the testimony of plaintiffs' valuation expert, Jerome McHale, and granted summary judgment to the extent those tort claims derive from loss of value to the residential properties.
