PCI hosts convention/exhibition

The Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute hosted its convention/exhibition and the PCI National Bridge Conference from October 21 to 24, 2007, in Phoenix, Ariz. Attended by almost 1400 participants, the 53rd annual convention facilitated various committee meetings, award presentations, educational sessions, and networking events. The PCI National Bridge Conference, which is co-sponsored by the Federal Highway Administration (FEWA), attracted distinguished guests, such as M. Myint Lwin, director of the Office of Bridge Technology of FHWA, and Victor Mendez, director of the Arizona Department of Transportation. The theme of the event-"The Future Is Now, Ideas to Build on "-served as the backdrop to the many meetings and sessions.
