Trapezoidal cross sections

A trapezoidal cross section was developed and tested that can serve as an alternative cross section for use in the quality assurance test for strand bond. Figure 10 illustrates this cross section. Because the trapezoidal shape does not provide as much concrete confinement around the strand, its performance might be a better indicator of the bond that would exist in stemmed members, such as double-tee beams.
