While not at the most extreme end of the spectrum for Challenging Airports, Reggio Calabria provides an interesting approach challenge to a beautiful area of the world. When flown with some of the higher performance, transport category aircraft that have traditionally operated to the field, the stage is set for a busy approach that requires good planning and execution to complete safely.
