Even in a small business users need to have access to the company networK when they're away from the of ficc. Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) are the most matun and trusted method for provid ing this access, and a spate of new appliances aims to bring this big-business luxury to smaller firms. In our testing of three of the latest-from Check Point, Net gear, and Sonic Wall- we found the entries (save for the latter) accessible enough that a mod erately technical busines: owner could get one up and running, but the learning curve is still difficult and the units a bit pricey.
