UPM-Kymmene Rauma: more than one million t/a of SC and LWC

Last year, UPM-Kymmene's Rauma mill produced 1.05 million tonnes of LWC and SC papers combined. The mill received certification for its operations and management systems in compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSMS standards. Several speed records have been achieved, with the mill's PM 4 recently running LWCO at speeds of up to 1,727 m/min (late April 2001). Earlier records include a speed of 1,450 m/min set by the off-machine OptiLoad calenders.
