Future Valmet to Deliver Recovery Boiler Single-Drum Conversion for Stora Enso's Veitsiluoto Mill

Metso's Pulp, Paper and Power business, the future Valmet, and Stora Enso have signed an agreement on the single-drum conversion of Stora Enso Veitsiluoto Mill's recovery boiler. The conversion will be completed in the fall of 2014. The value of the order will not be disclosed. The order is included in Pulp, Paper and Power's third quarter 2013 orders received. The recovery boiler was built in 1977 and its current capacity is roughly 2,000 metric tons of dry solids per day. The upper and lower drum of the recovery boiler and the steam generating bank between them will be replaced by a new drum and separate boiler bank elements needed for heat recovery.
