Voith and Papiertechnische Stiftung Implements Modernisation and Renovation of Automation System in its Pilot Coating Machine

In autumn of 2012, the Papiertechnische Stiftung (PTS) in Munich together with Voith implemented the modernisation and thorough renovation of the automation system in its pilot coating machine. The aim of PTS was to standardise the automation system built up over the years by different providers and to bring it up to the latest technical state-of-the-art. With the automation from Voith, the system is now not just modernised, but can also cater for the unusual machine settings that are often required on test machines. All components needed were supplied from a single source. The required uniformity was thus ensured.
