Ox Paperboard Installs New Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor

Ox Paperboard LLC, has successfully Installed a new Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor(MBBR)to its existing Waste Water Treatment Plant. Bioprocess H20 LLC of Portsmouth, Rl supplied the engineering, design and startup expertise. "This project has been a long time in the making," said Kevin Hayward, Ox Paperboard's President. "We are proud of our employees and their efforts to complete our goal of upgrading and positioning the mill for long term success. This project shows our long-term commitment to this historic mill, our dedicated employees and the local community." Upgrades will allow OX to not only meet current NPDES (National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System) requirements, but also proactively address future changes brought forth by the Clean Water Act and the Chesapeake Watershed.
