Pulp & Paper Asia 2014: A Platform to Source the Latest in the Industry

In the past few years, the paper industry in Indonesia has grown significantly. It is currently the ninth largest pulp producer and the 11th largest paper producer in the world. The industry also contributed significantly to exports as well as benefited from a robust domestic market. Based on preliminary SVLK data, pulp exports were USD411.47 million during the first three months of the year, 2.51 per cent more than the year earlier. Paper exports rose by 0.69 per cent to USD 140.59 million. The total pulp and paper exports in Indonesia is USD561 million in the first quarter of 2013. The encouraging numbers necessitate the need for a platform for industry players to source for machinery, equipment, services and supplies, and to seek new technology, solutions and trade information, network and make contacts with the world's leading pulp and papermakers in the region.
