Malaysia's Pioneer Newsprint producer, Malaysian Newsprint Industries Sdn Bhd (MNI), owned partly by The New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd (NSTP) and Hong Leong Industries Bhd (HU), has begun creditors' voluntary winding-up proceedings, according to a report in the national daily The Star. In filings with Bursa Malaysia, Media Prima Bhd and HLI said the board of their associated company MNI had on Tuesday appointed Lim San Peen of PricewaterhouseCoopers Advisory Services Sdn Bhd as the interim liquidator.
