The author covers issues related to the library and information science (LIS) profession in Pakistan as of 2010. He pays tribute to notable personalities of the profession. He adds that the North-West Frontier Province (NWFP) Public Service Commission announced that Master of LIS (MLIS) degree holders of Allama Iqbal Open University Islamabad are not eligible for the librarian position. He mentions a protest staged by the Pakistan Library Association and the Punjab University Library and Information Science Alumnae Association (PULISAA) in January.
