Mott's aseptic line was noteworthy

As we continue to mark our 20th anniversary, we look back to our March issue of 1994 and a news item about the installation of a new Mott's line for aseptic filling of PET containers. At the time, Mott's was just the second marketer in the U.S. to aseptically fill PET containers. Its filling system was from Serac, and its in-house blow-molding system was from Sidel. So where do aseptics and PET stand today? There may be as many as 30 or 40 aseptic PET lines for beverages in North America. But some observers are surprised that that number is so low.
