Gossamer Structures showcased two fresh additions to its range of packaging equipment for the fruit market at two major exhibitions last year - Intervitus Interfructa and Propak Africa.rnGossamer's plastic bag filler (model BF) has been welcomed by the fruit industry that was previously primarily reliant upon imports of this kind of product from overseas. Fruit bruising is a major concern in deciduous fruit pack houses, so this machine automates the process up to the stage where the bag is sealed by an operator and sent off on a conveyor to the carton-filling and palletising area.
