The Association for Operations Management of Southern Africa (Sapics) has reported that a series of new, lower-level training courses that it is developing is close to completion, and will be rolled out early this year.rnThe new Introduction to Supply Chain and Operations programmes offer basic-level training for individuals wishing to enter the field of supply chain operations. 'Based on its extensive experience in the education field, Sapics recognised that while many training programmes and certifications cater for graduates and experienced supply chain professionals, to date there has been little offered for individuals with limited work experience in the sector, or for learners at NQF Level 2 says Reuben Badana, Sapics president.
