Greenstar plans new'super-MRF'

Greenstar UK, the waste management firm, has revealed plans to build an ￡l8m materials recycling facility (MRF) in London as part of wider plans to develop its UK network.rnThe firm has bought a 17,500m2 warehouse in Edmonton, north London, which it will develop into what it has termed a super-MRF. The facility will be able to process up to a tenth of all the waste produced in the north London area.rnThe company already has a licence for the site to process up to 250,000 tonnes of waste from the capital every year. In addition to this, it will process another 250,000 tonnes through its waste transfer station.
