Evansville Clinic Now Open; Facility Serves City Workers

Last summer the city of Evansville decided to change the way it spends taxpayer money on health care. A tangible demonstration of the change is a new health clinic for city employees, which opened in November.rnThe facility is run by Novia Care Clinics, which manages clinics for other Evansville employers. Employees report they're already benefiting by not having to waste time seeking care from an off-site provider.rnThe clinic is also expected to benefit employees financially because they get free medication and lab work. Ensuring that services are provided at no cost was a primary focus of city officials.
