Combat Vehicle Engines

This appendix lists the major engines that are used in military combat vehicles today. The list includes new production engines, as well as those upgraded through modernization and retrofit programs. Under each alphabetically listed manufacturer, the engines are listed in order of increasing power rating. In the various columns, the lack of data indicates that relevant information is not available, or (in a few cases) not applicable. The first column lists the engine type. The types are as follows: two or four stroke diesel, Wankel (or rotary combustion), spark ignition, and vehicular gas turbine.
