Serial production of the M61-series Vulcan aircraft cannon is ongoing, primarily for U.S. Department of Defense procurement. U.S. Navy continues to procure new M61A2 cannon for F/A-18E/F aircraft; U.S. Air Force is procuring a modified version of the M61A2 for the F-22 Raptor. Production forecast reflects new-production M61A2 cannon only.
