Appendix Ⅳ Airborne Munitions and Ordnance Designations

This appendix lists the various U.S. airborne munitions in alphanumeric order, along with a brief description of each munition or piece of ordnance.For BDU and BLU munitions and submunitions, we provide the munition or submunition types, if known; for complete CBU systems, we provide the dispenser designation, type, and number (if known) of the submunitions. Some of the munitions in this appendix are obsolete, or were never manufactured in quantity. Because we have compiled this appendix in response to client requests, we provide all the known designations.
