Polarization mode dispersion measurement using fixed analyzer method with deep neural network

摘要

A fixed analyzer method with deep neural network (DNN) for polarization mode dispersion (PMD) measurement was proposed. The DNN is used to extract the mean differential group delay from the fluctuated power spectrum. The effectiveness of the proposed scheme was demonstrated by experiments. Experimental results show that it is a practical method with greater stability and superior accuracy than counting extrema points method.
