Optical sensors are very attractive in chemical and bio-chemical applications due to some unique characteristics, such as immunity to electromagnetic interference and to aggressive environments, high sensitive and fast response. In recent years fiber Bragg grating sensors have been widely used in many sensing applications including temperature, strain and pressure measurements. The main drawback and challenge of this Bragg Grating fiber is the difficulty of demodulating wavelength shift and thermal sensitivity. The most important problems faced in the phase Hauler Demodulation process are the variance in light intensity. Therefore, the entire current sensor cannot be used for completely static measurements. In order to address the above challenges, a multi-ocular sensor using Bragg fiber grating has been proposed for this work throughout the entire implementation of the system. The multi-ocular sensor using FBG is processed to measure the temperature, pressure and chemical concentration.
