How to fall in love with your home town

To identify strategies that would make the American streets more citizen friendly. The article is a summary of the observations of the author, who is a native of Minneapolis, on several cities he visited across the world. The author is highly impressed by the way these cities are very citizen friendly. He attributes the same on the attitude of the citizens towards their home town who have made their respective governments enact laws that would prevent their cities from urban decay and made them easy to move around. Later in the article the author shifts his focus towards his own country to show various such movements by the citizens that have gained importance. He also states some of the steps taken by these organizations and their success stories. He concludes by stating his personal triumph on an occasion in his home town, Minneapolis, where he was able to gather the locals against the plan of the city officials to widen the streets.
