Message from the Guest Editors

On behalf of the program committee of this special issue, we are honored to present to you this collection of excellent papers that present the state-of-the-art in the interconnected fields of compilers, operating systems, and multicore architectures. We are all witnessing a turning point in software and hardware technology, as parallelism appears at all levels in the system stack. Although this era provides many opportunities, it also presents many challenges. This exciting revolution motivated us to arrange this special issue.
