Summary of the 5th International Workshop on Feedback Control Implementation and Design in Computing Systems and Networks (FeBID 2010)

The fifth International Workshop on Feedback Control Implementation and Design in Computing Systems and Networks (FeBID 2010) was held on April 13, 2010, in conjunction with ACM EuroSys 2010 in Paris. The workshop aimed to bring together researchers, practitioners, system administrators, system programmers, and others interested in the latest advances in the control of computer systems and networks.rnThe workshop was dedicated to the application of feedback control and mathematical optimization techniques to analyzing and designing computing systems, networks, and services, such as those in data centers, enterprise systems, real-time systems, embedded systems, sensor networks, and cyber-physical systems. The workshop offered a unique opportunity for researchers and practitioners to discuss recent and innovative results in the field. It was a forum to exchange ideas and experiences on practical control system design and implementation, and to identify future directions and challenges in aligning feedback control techniques with traditional performance analysis, modeling, and simulation.
