A Report on the First TRIOS Conference

Our publication practices are broken. That's the sentiment that I often hear from members of the SIGOPS community and others in the computing field. The term "broken" may be a bit strong and probably means different things to different people. In any case, submissions to conferences are increasing and the percentage of acceptances is shrinking. There is a growing push for change.
