What would or could we do with a new generation of CD-ROMs capable of holding five, or even ten times the data now possible? What new applications would become feasible? What problems would likely crop up in making the transition to a new CD standard? How would the "HiCD" fit in with the evolving online information access strategies of our organizations? What would the reinvention of CD-ROM mean to libraries and library users?
