Too often we spend valuable time online, but never manage to narrow our search to just the right focus. NEXIS has always had an impressive list of full-text sources and a fast search engine, but has lacked control for precise searches in cases where there was an overabundance of citations. Soon after NEXIS introduced the FOCUS command in the spring of 1990, it became a clear choice for my personal online "product of the year" award.
