Recommended Reading on Intellectual Freedom, Anonymity, Scholarly Communication Departments, and Acquisitions Collaboration

Personal privacy and intellectual freedom: These two foundational concepts of library service go hand in hand. This issue, Hard Copy looks at two recent publications that reinforce librarians' commitment to patron rights and warn of current and future challenges to those rights. Two other recent books offer guidance on how we structure our library organizations to provide the best service to our patrons: forming a scholarly communications department and exploring collaborations between acquisitions departments and other library units and consortia.
