Management Changes at GPO

William J. "Bill" Boarman became the 26th Public Printer of the United States on Dec. 29,2010, in a recess appointment, replacing Bob Tapella, who said he resigned his commission "at the request of the White House." Boarman will serve as the chief executive officer and head the 2,300-employee U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO). Moving quickly, Boarman named DrewSpalding as general counsel for GPO, Davita Vance-Cooks as chief of staff, James C. "Jim" Bradley as Assistant Public Printer of Operations, and Mary Alice Baish as superintendent of documents. All except Baish were already employed by GPO.
