Initiative Meeting for Croatian Membership for International Geothermal Association (IGA)

During the Petroleum Engineering Summer School (PESS) in Dubrovnik between June 9-13,2008 and its Interactive seminar-Workshop 26. "Geothermal Fields Development" Initiative meeting about Croatian admittance to International Geothermal Association (IGA) was held with our wish to join the world-wide association with more than 3 500 members from twenty-seven countries. In the coordinated manner at the meeting was present DSc. Kiril Popovski St. Kliment Ohridski University from Macedonia, past President of IGA European branch, co-director of Workshop 26, DSc. John W. Lund, prof. Em. At Oregon Institute of Technology, past President of International Geothermal Association, co-director of PESS, DSc. Miklos Antics France/University of Oradea in Romania, DSc. Pierre Ungemach, Geoproduction Consultants IP from France one of the distinguish lecturer at IGA Roster whose main goal is to promote the geothermal energy utilization and finally DSc. Miroslav Golub full professor at the Faculty of Mining, Geology and Petroleum Engineering, University of Zagreb who was involved as co-director of Workshop as well, regarding to his responsibilities the announcement was created in conjunction with IGA experts and their signatures on the protocol.
