Study Slams Shell's Handling Of Jobber Lube Oil Problems

Shell is coming up "way short" in its treatment of lube oil jobbers in the U.S., compared to other majors, according to a survey of lubes distributors by an independent consulting firm. "In fact, a significant number say Shell is the most challenging major in the market to do business with," says the multi-client study produced by Petroleum Trends International, a Metuchen, N. J.-based firm. According to the study, Shell noticeably lags other majors on delivering orders on time and as ordered, and also in resolving complaints and continuity of contact with its marketers.
