Trends: Propane inventories growing to 2013 levels

The supply of propane is recovering from last winter's acute shortages. Since the end of a brutally cold winter and an unprecedented draw-down in storage, propane inventories have begun building at a pace that could put them in line with levels seen in 2013 - and possibly beyond. U.S. Energy Information Administration data shows that propane stocks grew by 19.2 million bbl to a total 45.8 million from the week ended March 28 to May 30. The comparable period in 2013 was an increase of 9.3 million to the 47 million bbl area.
