Clean Energy: More nat-gas stations needed

Clean Energy Fuels has been challenged by the slower-than-expected adoption of natural gas fuels in the U.S. heavy-duty trucking market, but the company remains positioned to open stations quickly. In a recent discussion with Wall Street analysts, company brass admitted the high-fuel-volume, longdistance trucking market was getting going a year later than they anticipated. But the next six to eight months should afford "much better visibility" on the sector's rate of adoption of natural gas powered trucks, they said, and will guide their capital expenditure on that market.
