Gulf to exit NYH gasoline blending

More consolidation is on tap for Gulf Oil LP. In the midst of a major overhaul, the company will exit the gasoline blending business in New York Harbor by year-end, industry sources confirmed. Gulf will not renew leases for its gasoline blending storage tanks, involving some 1.6 million bbl of capacity. The storage contracts with Kinder Morgan at Carteret, N.J., and Staten Island, N.Y., will expire at the end of this month.
