Chevron base oil price increases for fourth time

Chevron said that it has raised its U.S. Gulf Coast 100R, 220R and 600R base oil prices by 10-20cts/ gal, effective Wednesday. These are the oil major’s fourth consecutive price increases since October. Chevron said it adjusts its base oil prices periodically to reflect the prevailing market demand and supply fundamentals as well as crude values. The price of the 100R grade will rise by 20cts, to $3.29/gal, and the 220R grade price will increase by the same margin to $3.39/gal. The 600R price will be up by 15cts, to $3.69/gal.
