The November trial of two owners of a Louisianaconvenience store chain accused of harboring illegalimmigrants, tax evasion, and falsifying tax records has beenmoved to April next year, according to documents filed in thefederal court in New Orleans.The U.S. government alleges that Imad "Eddie" Hamdanand Zia "Z" Mousa, who in recent years owned and operatedmore than 30 Brothers Food Marts, hired undocumentedworkers, paid them in cash, and filed false employment taxreturns that omitted the cash wages. Hamdan and Mousaalso allegedly paid managers' salaries partially in cash, didnot report or withhold taxes on the cash payments, and filedfalse W-2 forms underreporting their wages, according tolegal documents.
