A finance firm has gotten increasingly bullish on its projections for global use of electric vehicles, forecasting that EVs will make up 32% of new car sales within the next decade. In its latest report on the state of the battery electric vehicle market, Deloitte projects that global EV sales will total 31.1 million vehicles by 2030 and capture nearly a third of the total market share for new car sales. That's a significant increase from the 21 million EV sales and 20% market share the company had forecast in its last report in January 2019.
