Marathon no longer supports manual credit card transactions

Marathon Petroleum Corp. has told branded wholesalers that as of Oct. 1, the company will automatically charge back manually entered credit card transactions that are disputed "without retrieval request or further investigation." Marathon also said that it will no longer supply manual imprinters or invoices and expects sites to disable manual card entry as an option.The major said that it discourages credit card transactions that are entered manually because they are a high fraud risk.
