Condo fire injures two painters

Two employees of Admiral Painting and Decoration were taken to a Calgary hospital after a fire broke out in the condominium unit they had been painting.rnThe fire ignited at 10 am on April 6, says an AEI spokesperson. The workers were taken to hospital, one suffering from smoke inhalation; the other from second-degree burns to one hand.rnCalgary Emergency Medical Services (EMS) reports the incident looks to have been the result of a flash fire - a sudden, intense fire caused by the ignition of flammable solids, liquids or gases. It is believed the flash related to "fumes produced by the product the painters were working with," the EMS notes, although that product was not identified.
