A 54-year-old man, who was installing scaffolding, fell approximately 10 metres into the cargo hold of a ship docked near the Mellanby bridge in Port Colborne, Ontario on January 8. The man was extricated by Port Colborne Fire and airlifted to a hospital in Hamilton with non-life threatening injuries, notes a statement from the Niagara Regional Police Service.
