NES diesel-electric machinery for Gulf Offshore PSV

Norwegian Electric Systems (NES) has signed a contract with Simek shipyard in Norway for the delivery of a complete diesel-electric system for Gulf Offshore's latest newbuilding. This will be the third diesel-electric system NES has delivered for Gulf Offshore vessels and is a repeat order of equipment for two sister ships - North Cruys, which was delivered in February 2014, and North Pomor, delivered in July 2013. The new vessel, a Skipsteknisk ST-216L CD design, will operate in northern waters and in harsh weather conditions and is due to be delivered at the end of 2015.
