Ulmatec secures LARS contracts for Chinese newbuilds

Ulmatec Handling in Norway has been awarded a contract by China Oilfield Services for four Ulmatec launch and recovery systems (LARS). The LARS will have an advanced control system, electric active heave-compensated winches and will be used to deploy ROVs. The LARS will be fitted on two new Skipsteknisk-designed ST259s being built at Huangpu Yard in southern China.
